The biggest difference between the two versions, though, is the inclusion of a DVD with the Collector's Edition. It's a little touch, but a very cool one nonetheless. In a very cool twist, the manual in the Collector's Edition is written from the Covenant perspective, including a passage on the "Atrocity at Halo." The descriptions of the enemies and vehicles are different as well, including the use of Covenant names for soldiers (Elites are called Sangheili, Grunts are called Unggoy, etc.). In the standard version the manual is written from the point of view of the Office of Naval Intelligence, the agency that employs the Master Chief and is charged with the protection of Earth. The first difference you'll notice is that of the included instruction manuals.
